29 Sep The Croydon Business Excellence Awards 2022 – Award Ceremony tickets go on sale
Talented businesses and entrepreneurs from across the Croydon borough will once again come together to celebrate their successes at a vibrant award ceremony for the 7th annual Croydon Business Excellence Awards 2022 – this year taking place on Wednesday 9 November 2022 at Legacy Youth Zone.
In partnership with London South Bank University (LSBU) and compèred by esteemed broadcaster Fayon Dixon, the 2022 awards will focus on the important contribution Croydon’s companies make within their local community, whilst also raising money for Legacy Youth Zone; a multi-purpose facility where young people in Croydon have the opportunity to discover their full potential.
With community at the heart of the 2022 Awards, the ceremony will feature local suppliers throughout, including catering from popular BoxPark outlet Big Mike’s Calypso kitchen and micro bakery Laborjee, as well as a bar hosted by local favourite Signal Brewery and entertainment from the Croydon Steel Orchestra.
On playing host to this year’s awards, Barnabas Shelbourne, CEO at Legacy Youth Zone says: ‘We are delighted to be working with the team to host the Croydon Business Excellence Awards, which recognises the amazing achievements of organisations in and around Croydon. It is a privilege to have the awards at Legacy Youth Zone, where many future business owners and entrepreneurs are being nurtured every day. As a charity, without the support of generous businesses and successful individuals, Legacy wouldn’t be able to do what it does, transforming the lives of thousands of young people across the borough. We expect the evening will be a wonderful celebration, and we look forward to welcoming everyone to see the difference their support could have on young people and the wider Croydon community.’
With a record number of entries showcasing the best of the borough’s businesses, a shortlist was created and followed by a public vote – receiving over 18,500 votes in total when it closed earlier this month.
The winners of the 13 categories, including the prestigious ‘Business of the Year’ will be announced during the inspiring award ceremony, taking place at the beginning of November. You can view this year’s finalists here
